Raising
awareness of the effective use of IT within the Humber and
North Yorkshire
The
recent strategic partnership between the NTI and locally
based it interface, a leading provider of IT training
and consultancy has seen the development of a series of
events that will promote the use of technology, be informative
and develop knowledge of IT and a sense of community amongst
businesses.
The
role of the NTI is to encourage and facilitate the effective
use of Technology across Humber and North Yorkshire with
the purpose of economic growth and prosperity.
To develop
this agenda the NTI has always held the belief that it would
not deliver directly and compete with other established
initiatives. The strategic partnership between it
interface and the NTI seemed appropriate and gave
the opportunity to collaborate and utilise each others expertise
to deliver something of value to the business community
in line with the NTI's agenda.
Funding
from the Digital Skills Brokerage within the NTI has enabled
it interface to deliver a range of events to raise the profile
of IT in the region.

Manager and IT Trainer updates
The
aim of these update sessions is to provide an opportunity
for attendees to network with people in similar roles within
the region, discuss experiences or current issues, look
at specific technologies and to find out what's happening
within the industry.
Information
Technology Business Briefings
These
half day monthly briefings on specific topics relating to
the demands within the industry have been designed to give
an insight into current technological advances that can
be real drivers for business performance. Topics will incorporate
existing IT solutions as well as breaking wave technologies.
Throughout
the briefings leading experts will highlight the business
cases for key technologies; will provide demonstrations
and will offer a facilitated forum environment to discuss
the adoption of such technologies within businesses with
representatives from local companies.
